Geography in Dong Nai
Dong Nai is located on the south of Vietnam. It is surrounded by LamDong in the north, BinhThuan in the east, BaRia – VungTau in the south, BinhDuong, BinhPhuoc and HoChiMinh City in the west.
The topography includes some valleys, lowland, hill. The main kinds of land are bazan, alluvial soil. Therefore, it is good condition for industrial plants (rubber, coffee), and orchard.
Tourism and Economy in Dong Nai
Dong Nai has a developing industry. There are many big industrial zones, factories, handicraft village (Tan Van pottery village, skilful stone carving of Hoa group). DongNai’s pottery has well-known beauty. The province own immense coffee, rubber farms and Nam Cat Tien National Park.
Coming here, tourists have ecological tours in forests and orchads in MyQuoi, ThanhHoi, Tan rieu, Pho, Ong islets. The province is proud of many interesting sites such as DongNai River, LongAn Lake, SuoiTre Culture Site, TriAn Waterfall, MaDa and Sac forests.
Ethnic groups in Dong Nai
Dong Nai has special traditional culture of ethnic groups. The main religions are Buddhism and Catholic, Protestant. It is a home of some popular musical instruments like: Binh Da’s dan da, flute in bamboo, copper gongs, cymbal, pan-pipe, Tam Pot sings of Ma group in DinhQuan Dist.
Transportation in Dong Nai
BienHoa City is 30km from HoChiMinh City, 1,684km from Hanoi following National Highway No.1A. It also is 278km from Dalat, 95km from VungTau, 198km from Cantho. The ThongNhat Express Train connecting Hanoi to HoChiMinh City, stops at BienHoa.
