Full Itinerary
Day 1: CHIANG MAI–WIANG KUM KAM – JUST KHAO SOI (By car/horse carriage & local minibus) (D)
Pick up from Chiang Mai Airport and meet guide & driver and transfer to hotel. Check in. Relax for sometime.Depart by car to the Wiang Kum Kam, situated in the vast plains of the far north of the country and the largest area of flat land at the site of present-day Chiang Mai and Lamphun. Visit by horse carriage to explore this unveiling ancient city, which is believed to be the earliest historical settlement in the Chiang Mai area established by Mon settlers as a satellite town for the Haripoonchai kingdom. Archaeological remains excavated at the site, such as the stone tablets with Mon inscriptions, pottery, earthenware moulds, Buddhist sculpture and architecture, suggest that there has been a long and continuous history of settlement in the area dating back to the 8th century Haripoonchai era.
Evening transfer transfer to “Just Khao Soy” restaurant, where the signature dish of northern
Thai cuisine ‘Khao Soy’ is served for your dinner. After dinner, set off to explore the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and return to hotel by songtaew (local minibus) for accommodation.
Overnight at Chiang Mai.
Day 2: CHIANG MAI ECO ADVENTURE – KANTOKE DINNER (by 4WD/Elephant Riding/Rafting) (B,L,D)
Breakfast at your hotel. We embark on an eco adventure today.Depart from hotels by 4-WD Land
Rover or similar to hilltribe museum at Mae Rim. Then continue to Mae Tang for elephant safari
through the forest for 1 hr. include ox-cart riding. Picnic Lunch.
After lunch embark on the inflatable raft down the rapids in the white and scenic Mae Tang
River for about 45 minutes. Continue to Baan Huai Rai, passing several villages before returning to
your hotel.
Transfer to Old Chiang Mai Khantoke Dinner, a typical Thai Dinner with presentation of dances from
northern Thailand, followed by a performance of dance and songs of various hilltribes. Return to
your hotel for accommodation. Overnight at Chiang Mai.
Day 3: CHIANG MAI HANDCRAFT VILLAGE (B,L,D)
Breakfast at your hotel.Visit Handicraft villages to see the manufacturing of lacquerware, the
spinning and weaving of Thai Silk and how paper umbrellas are made. Lunch and dinner at local
restaurant. Free time to explore the city by self. Overnight at Chiang Mai.
Day 4: CHIANG MAI CITY & TEMPLE TOUR (B,L,D)
Early morning wake up and offering of food to Monks. Return to hotel and breakfast.Perched on top of the mountain which overlooking the city and also the most important landmark of Chiang Mai. The temples was built in 13 century, contains a golden pagoda that houses a part of the holy relics of the Lord Buddha. Also visit other famous temples of Chiang Mai.Lunch and dinner included. Overnight at Chiang Mai.
Day 5: CHIANG MAI – DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast + transfer to airport for onward flight home/next destination.
