Thong Nhat Conference Hall is situated at 106 Nguyen Du Street in Ho Chi Minh City. Originally called Norodom Palace and Palace of Indochina Governor General, it was built in 1868 and inaugurated in 1873.

After 1954, Ngo Dinh Diem, South Viet Nams President, and his family lived and worked in Norodom Palace. In 1963, this palace was heavily destroyed by bombs. President Diem commanded the remain to be destroyed and to built a new palace to be called Doc Lap Palace was built on a 120,000m2 area and palace 4,500 m2. It included a basement, 3 main floors, 2 mezzanines, one uppper floor. There are a total of 95 rooms in the Palace, each decorated according to its function. The palace also feahouse . and numerous antertainment services such as tennis courts and stilt houses….

Ho Chi Minh City Municipal Theater í located at N07 Cong Truong Lam Son Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. It was priginally an opera house for the Western audiences. It construction was begun in 1898 and completed on 17 January 1900 according to the design by architect Ferrt. It holds 800 seats. The cost for the building at that time was nearly 1 million dong (old currency).

After the liberation of Saigon, it was put under the management of the Artistic Performance Organization Company (Saigon Concert) and became the Citys Opera House ever since.

A varitety of shows and performances are held in the theater: dancong, singing, spoken drama, circus, and fashion shows. If frequently hosts dometic and overseas professional at troupes. This is also where conferences, seminars and big festivals of the city are held.

Covering 52ha on the corner of Lac Long Quan and Hoa Binh St., Dam Sen Park is comppsed of various areas. There is an area for intertainment, including a central flower garden, water fountains, pine tree hills, a rose garden, a prehistoric valley, a fun house, a ball game centre, alestronic games, and make up rooms.

There is also an area for camping and a lake offering many aquatic activities. A pavilion for dancing and water puppetry is located near the lake.

The construction of the gardens began in March 1864 under the supervision of French tropical botanist J.B Louis Pierre and was completed in 1865. Many valuable trees from different parts of the country, as well as from India, Thailand, laos, Cambodia and other countries, were planted here. A concrete bridge was built over Thi Nghe Canal in 1927, linking the Zoo and Botantical Gardens.

Whenever Cho Lon is referred to , everyone may immediately think of a Cho Lon – China Town inside Ho Chi Minh City. Cho Lon has become part and parcel of every itinerary to this city.

Tran Hung Dao Boulevard, which connects Sai Gon and Cho Lon is condidered the spine bone of Cho Lon.

Cho Lon now covers a vast area from the residential quarters in District 5 and 10 to the vicinity of Districts 6 and 11. The Hoa people living there still preserve their age old cultural, architectural, and religious vaues. The classical beauty of their architectural style finds expressions in rows of tile roofed hiuses, which seem to be caught forever in a brownish gray colour.
