Lang Son is a city in far northern Vietnam, also the capital of Lang Sơn province. It is easily accessible by road and rail from Hanoi.
With an area of 830.521 ha, Lang Son is one of the most important commercial port in the North, especially with China. Nowadays, Lang Son is an attractive tourist destination of the northernmost with many interesting things, from scenes, cuisines to people.
About the tourist sites, Lang Son boasts some prominent places that you can’t miss.
1. Nhi Thanh Cave, near Tam Thanh Cave and located in the Lang Son city, is a 500-meter-deep natural stone cave with colorful stalagmites.
2. Chi Lang Complex: a 20-km-long structure is created from a narrow valley between two mountains. This place is associated with a great victory of Vietnam in the past and considered as the strongest citadel at the time.
3. Mau Son Mountain: 30km from Lang Son City to the east, Mau Son Mountain is a 1541-meter-high mountain with cool weather. Mau Son Mountain is surrounded by several smaller mountains. The speciality of Mau Son Mountain is Mau Son Peach with sweet and unforgettable flavor.
4. Ky Lua Market: the most interesting and busiest place in Lang Son where one can buy anything in one place including traditional attires, foods, souvenirs and more. This place also gives visitors great chances to meet and talk with the locals.
