Discovering this colorful land, you can comfortably slip sandals and footsteps into the cool water of the small streams along the way, soak in nature to feel the peace and the sense of country’s origin in each breathing.
Although it is cool or sunny at midday, Suoi Tien is still crowded with people of whom the majority are foreigners. To explore this stream, you have to walk upstream in the location where it is near the end of the stream flowing to the sea. The stream is not deep at all, the deepest area only reaches the knees. Travelers walk barefoot in the cool water of orange sand. Going about 200-300 meters, you can see that a virtual world appears in front of the eyes.
This place has only pure pristine without any mark of human left here excepting the footprints. The old sand piles are sand dunes that are eroded by the water creating bizarre shapes like stalactites in limestone caves. On the banks of the streams, the water has created sand into fine pillars, huge reliefs that stretch out like a wall and always change.
The bottom of the stream is smooth sand. This is a rare freshwater source in this area. The strange thing is that the water starts from the sand desert. The vast sand dunes stretch tens of kilometers, so fresh water is rare. However, beneath these hot sand dunes, there is a huge water “bag”. No one knows exactly that, when and house the water bag was leaked to the outside forming a stream. For a long ago, locals have found it strange and thought of the mystical, supernatural force. They said that this water line is the gift that the sky gives to the sand desert. The name of Suoi Tien comes from here.
Along the stream, there are many paths leading to the sand dunes. Sand is accidentally created into natural gates, located on the sides of the path leading up to the sand dunes. Standing on the elevated position of the sand dunes looking down, tourists will see that the stream is poetic. The scene here never stops visitors from associating, comparing. At different angles of access, visitors have a strange and different sense of this scene. In the summer, only the coconut and the hyacinths beautify the stream. In the spring, cherry blossoms bloom, Suoi Tien is as wearing a new coat full of flavor. When the grapefruit flowers, lime flowers bloom, walking in Suoi Tien, we are like walking in the middle of a fragrant forest. Not only do tourists feel the natural and mysterious stream with eyes, with their hands, visitors also feel the nature here with the nose.
