Geography in Binh Phuoc

Binh Phuoc is on south of Vietnam. It is surrounded by Cambodia on the north and north-west, DakNong and LamDong provinces on the east, DongNai and BinhDuong provinces on the south and TayNinh Provinceon the west. Binh Phuoc has plenty of forests. The bazant land is convenient for industrial trees such as rubber, coffee, cashew nut, and pepper. The main rivers are Saigon, Be, and Dong Nai.

Climate: There are no cold winters. The annual average temperature is 27�C. The rainy season lasts from May to October and the dry season lasts from November to April next year. The annual average rainfall is 2,110mm.

Binh Phuoc has many potential landscapes and vestiges. They are Mo Waterfall, BaRa Mountain, Waterfall No. 4, BauLach grass field. The historic sites are Mien military committee, LocHoa and LocQuang fuel dumps. The first communist party cell of Mekong Delta was born in PhuRieng commune, PhuocLong District. Other famous sites include SocXiem and SuoiLam tourist areas, BuGiaMap National Park, Bombo Village.

The main ethnic groups living in that province are the Kinh, Xtieng, Hoa, Khmer, Tay and Nung. The interesting traditional festivals are Xtieng’s praying for rain, New Rice Festival of the M’Nong, leaving the tomb.

Transportation in Binh Phuoc

Transportation is mainly by road. The National Highway No.13 links to Ho Chi Minh City, Chon Thanh, An Loc, Loc Ninh districts then Hoa Lu border gate crossing which to Cambodia. The National Highway No.14 connects Chon Thanh with Dong Xoai Town then Gia Nghia, Buon Ma Thuot.

Dong Xoai Town is 128km from Ho Chi Minh City, 119km from Gia Nghia (Dak Nong), 244km from Buon Ma Thuot.
