Truong Yen festival is an important festival in Hoa Lu that attacts many people. The festival commemorates the merits of two kings, Dinh Tien Hoang, who reunited the country, and Le Dai Hanh, who defeated foreign invaders.

Yen Cu Festival

20^th of the 8^th lunar month

Yen Cu Festival takes place in yen Cu Village. The temple is devoted to the cult of Tran Hung Dao, his wife and other princes. The festival includes a palanquin procession across the Day River to Phu Hao Village. For unexplained reasons, there is an abundance of fist here on this day; one can not help but wonder if perhaps the fist also meet to take part in the festival.

This province is located in the Southwest of the country, having an eighty kilometres coastal strip with the Gulf of Thailand.
