Van Don Archipelago
Van Don Historic Archipelago spans 50km of Ha Long Bay and embraces 600 islets spread out like a wall. This area was also one of the first prosperous commercial ports under the Ly and Tran Dynasties (the 11th and 13th cen-turies).
Tra Co
Tra Co is situated on the eastern border of Viet Nam where there are many beautiful sites, such as Con Mang, Sa Vi, Tra Co Communal House, Linh Khanh Pagoda, and Doi Temple.
Tra Co, a 17km long beach in Quang Ninh, is one of the most beautiful beaches in Viet Nam. It retains a primitive beuty with soft sand banks, rows of casuatinas and manggrove forests. The average temperature at Tra Co is 22.7oc, Making the beach perfect for relaxation, water sports, and sightseeing.
Bach Dang Stake-Yard
The Bach Dang Stake-Yard is situated in the marshy zone of yen Giang Commune, Yen Hung District that borders the Chanh River. Bach Dang Stake-Yard was offcially listed as site of historic importance on 22 march 1988, for the 700th anniversary of the great victory of Bach Dang against Mongol invaders. The stake-yard is the site where Tran Hung Dao, a national hero of the 13th centuty, is forever honoured.
Cua Ong Temple (Dong Hai Linh Tu)
Cua Ong, standing on a mountaintop, provides a magnificent view of Bai Tu Long Bay. It is located in the Cua Ong Quater of Cam Pha Town, 40km from Ha Long City to the north-east.
The temple was built at the beginning of the 19th century, it is includes Lower Temple(den ha), Middle (den trung) and an Upper Temple (den thuong), in the lower Temple, people observe the mother-worship cult (mau), while the upper temple is dedicate to the cult of Tran Quoc Tang. The main temple was formerly used to worship Hoang Cau, a regional hero, but it was later changed to hon-our Tran Quoc Tang, the third son of Tran Quoc Tuan, who was very brave in defending the border in the Cua Suot area.
Quynh Lam Pagoda
The Quynh Lam Pagoda stands on a hill in the village of Trang An Commune, Dong Trieu District, 3.5km from Dong Trieu Town, 83km from Ha Long City. Before the pagoda ia a great lake, while the three remaining sides are surrounded by hills and mountains.
The ritual festivities of the Quynh Lam Pagoda are held from first to the fourth day of the second lunar month, but the festive atmosphre lasts through spring. Buddhist faihful flock here from part of the country.
Historic Site of Yen Tu
The area of Yen Tu is made up of a system of pagodas, shrines, tower and forests belonging to the village of Thuong Yen Cong Commune, Uong Bi Town. It is about 40km from Ha Long City and 14km from Uong Bi Town.
In Spring, Yen Tu attracts a large number of tourists going on pilgrimage and sightseeing. Yen Tu Festival begins on the 10th day of the first lunar month and lasts until the end of third lunar month.
