            Day 1 : HOME – HANOI (D)     


	
Hanoi
Arrival in Hanoi, the 1000-year-old capital city of Vietnam, meet the local guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in.
 Afternoon: enjoy 1 hour rickshaw ride around the town center to be amazed by the unique hustle and bustle of the city.

            Day 2 : HANOI (B-L-D)     


	
Temple of Literature - Hanoi
Full day for exploring the fascinating city of Hanoi where old and new things blend together, Vietnamese, Chinese and French cultures mix together.
Activities: a pleasant walk around the peaceful Ho Chi Minh area, HCM Mausoleum, HCM House, One Pillar Pagoda, and visit the Ethnology museum.
After lunch, another pleasant walk at the beautiful Temple of Literature, a good visit at the Fine Arts Museum. Then enjoy a fascinating walk and shopping in the famous 36 busy streets of the Old Quarter.
The day is ended with an interesting water puppet performance.

            Day 3 : HANOI – MAI CHAU – TREKKING TO SAM KHOE VILLAGE (B-L-D)    


	
Sam Khoe village - Mai Chau
Morning check out the hotel, transfer to Mai Chau by coach. From Mai Chau, put on your backpack and start the adventure of trekking about 12 km to Sam Khoe village.
Have picnic lunch on the way and enjoy the beautiful sceneries of green fields and the hospitality of the Thai and Black H’mong peoples.
Overnight at home stay of the Thai people.

            Day 4 : SAM KHOE – TREKKING TO PIENG VE VILLAGE (B-L-D)    


	
Pieng Ve village in Mai Chau
Breakfast at the home stay, then take the whole day trekking (6hrs) to more villages of H’Mong and Thai groups. Have lunch at a local food stall, then passing the fields and villages to make our way to Pieng Ve village of the H’mong people. On the way enjoy beautiful photo stops and nice chats.
Relax and overnight at home stay of H’mong people.

            Day 5 : PIENG VE  – PA CO – SON LA (B-L-D)    


	
Pa Co village - Son La
Have breakfast and then trek (3hrs) to Pa Co village where you will have lunch and get back to the car to be transferred to Son La.

            Day 6 : SON LA – DIEN BIEN PHU (B-L-D)    


	
Muong Thanh - Dien Bien
Have breakfast and then transfer to Dien Bien Phu city by road. Enjoy the scenic ride along mountainous areas and long zigzag passes. Upon arrival in Dien Bien Phu, check in a hotel and have lunch.
In the afternoon, visit the famous historic sites of the former battle field against the French in 1954. Overnight in Dien Bien Phu

            Day 7 : DIEN BIEN PHU – LAI CHAU (B-L-D)    


	
Lai Chau
Have breakfast and then transfer to Lai Chau town located in a valley by road. Enjoy the scenic ride along mountainous areas and long zigzag passes. Upon arrival in, check in a hotel and walk around in the valley.
Overnight in Lai Chau.

            Day 8 : LAI CHAU – SIN HO – PHONG THO (B-L-D)    


	
Sin Ho village - Lai Chau
Have breakfast and then transfer to Sin Ho village by car. From here we will trek to Phong Tho small town along dirt paths, green fields, and villages.
After arrival in Phong Tho, have lunch, check in a hotel and enjoy more trekking to local villages in the neighbourhood in the afternoon.

            Day 9 : PHONG THO – SAPA (B-L-D)    


	
Tram Ton Pass
Have breakfast and then transfer to Sapa by coach. Enjoy one of the most beautiful rides in Vietnam, covering the long zigzag Tram Ton pass (54km). Stop at the Silver Waterfall on the way.
Upon arrival in Sapa, check in a hotel and relax. Overnight in Sapa

            Day 10 : SAPA – TREKKING TO TA VAN VILLAGE (B-L-D)    


	
Y Lin Ho village - Sapa
Have breakfast and start another trekking loop to Y Lin Ho village, Lao Chai Village and Ta Van village of the H’mong, Day peoples. Full day enjoy the breath-taking landscapes, the hospitality and interesting cultures of the hill tribes. Wash off the dirt at the river and relax at a home stay at Ta Van village.

            Day 11 : TA VAN – TREKKING TO BAN HO VILLAGE (B-L-D)    


	
Giang Ta Chai village - Sapa
Leave Ta Van village and go along rice terraces to cover the heavy slops to and from Giang Ta Chai village of the black H’mong group. Back to the main road and trek on to Ban Ho village of the Tay people. Full day enjoy the beautiful landscapes, interesting cultures of the hill tribes, and have picnic lunch on the way. Check-in a very nice home stay in Ban Ho. Relax at the home stay or swim at the river. Overnight in Ban Ho village

            Day 12 : BAN HO VILLAGE  – THANH PHU VILLAGE – SAPA (B-L-D)     


	
Thanh Phu Village - Sapa
After breakfast, enjoy trekking to Nam Sai Village and Thanh Phu village. Be impressed by the ways the H’mong, Dao, Day, and Tay peoples live and their hospitality.
After lunch in Thanh Phu village, transfer back to Sapa by motorbike
Relax in the hotel. Overnight in Sapa

            Day 13 : SAPA – HANOI BY NIGHT TRAIN (B-L-D)    


	
Ta Phin Village - Sapa
Morning free time for relaxation in Sapa
After lunch, check out and transfer to Lao Cai. On the way, stop at Ta Phin village of the Red Dao people and have a look at China border.
Board a night train back to Hanoi

            Day 14 : HANOI – HALONG BAY (B-L-D)    


	
Halong Bay
Early morning arrival in Hanoi by train, transfer to a restaurant for breakfast, then transfer to Halong, a World Natural Heritage site since 1994
12h30 :             Board a junk, check-in registration.
13h00 :             Have lunch with welcome wine.
13h30 :             A fantastic cruise in Ha Long bay, visit Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi island, Dog island, Sail island, visit Sung Sot cave and a swim at Titov beach. Enjoy dinner on board while watching sunset. Fishing, drinking Vietnamese wine, and spending a night on junk.
Kayaking option: Beautiful kayaking route from Titov beach to Luon Cave for those who book kayaking option ( kayaking time after visit the Sung Sot cave)

            Day 15 : HALONG BAY (B-L-D)       


	
Halong Bay
7h00   : Have breakfast.
7h30   : Free at leisure for swimming.
8h00  : Another wonderful cruise to visit Tortoise island , Man’s head island, visit Luon cave by a small bamboo boat.
12h00 : Have lunch on board.
13h00 : Visit Ba Ham lake (selected according to the tides), Three Peaches beach.
14h00 :  Free leisure for fishing and drinking
19h30 :  Have dinner  and overnight on board.
Kayaking option: This 3D/2N itinerary is more recommended to kayaker with opertunity to discover beautiful area. ( Paddle from Luon Cave toward islets in shape of Man’s head island, Tortoise island, Cua Van fishing village option ( kayaking time: Morning and afternoon).

            Day 16 : HALONG – HANOI (B-L-D)    


	
Bai Tu Long Bay
7h00   : Have breakfast
7h30   : Visit Bai Tu Long Bay, Teapot island, Chopstiks island , Bai Tho  mountain
11h00 : Return to Halong city  and have lunch on board.
12h00 : Arrive Halong wharf.
Kayaking option: Paddle to Con Vit islet, Ba Hang area ( kayaking time: Morning)
Transfer to Hanoi, check in a hotel. Overnight in Hanoi

            Day 17 : HANOI – DEPARTURE FOR HOME SWEET HOME (B)

Free time in Hanoi for shopping and relaxation till departure for Home Sweet Home
