Day 2 : Saigon – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho on Bassac Cruise (B, L, D)

At around 8:00am, our driver pick up and tranfer you to Can Tho.
Upon arrival at around 12:00noon in Can Tho, boarding at Can Tho at Ninh Kieu pier. Welcome drink, introduction to the ship and crew, check into the cabins. Departure downstream of the Hau river. Lunch on board while en route.
Tour near Tra On floating market.
Turning into Nicolai canal, towards the Mang Thit and Co Chien rivers. Rest on the upper deck in a scenery of rice fields, sugar cane, woods on the near banks.
By mid-afternoon, the Bassac casts anchor for a visit on shore: past the first tree line, quiet discovery of the peaceful life in the delta’s countryside, of rice fields, fruit trees and the welcoming inhabitants.
Boarding back, complimentary drink as a welcome back on board. Rest on the deck or around the bar enjoying the sunset.
The crew will serve dinner while the Bassac is cruising Mang Thit river towards her anchorage point for the night.

Day 3 : Can Tho – Chau Doc on Bassac Cruise (B, L, D)

Departure towards Cai Be. The passengers take their breakfast while enjoying the scenery on the banks.
The Bassac crosses Co Chien river then branches into Cho Lach canal for 30 minutes through the traffic of sand and rice barges, in a scenery of fruit drying facilities and wooden ship building yards.
Arrival in Cai Be, transfer to a local boat for a tour of Cai Be floating market and handicraft.

Day 5 : Saigon City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnel - Saigon (B)

our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and we will star our half day Saigon City tour and Cu Chi Tunnel. The sightseeing tour acquaints us with the city’s some major sights. We pass the now-demolished wartime American Embassy before we visit the Reunification Palace was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office. After seeing the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum, we continue our trip on to the bustling Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale.
We then drive this afternoon to explore the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground tunnel network of approximately 200 kilometers constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence.

Hoi An Cooking Class
City tour in Hoian, an ancient Japanese port of trade. Much of Hoi An’s rare wooden architecture remains in this small, pleasant town. There are plenty to see in this delightful and tranquil town, some of which are the famous Japannese Covered Bridges, the Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tam Ky House, the Chua Ong Pagoda, the vibrant market. We wisit these on our morning walking tour past many low tiled houses scattered along the small streets and assembly halls, which reflect the twon’s multi-cultural past. The rest time for shopping or doing other things you are interested in until we enjoy our cooking class in the afternoon. After taking the welcome drink, we visit Hoi An’s colorful market and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have our opportunity to interact with local sellers and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the coming cooking lesson. After that we board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise about 25 minutes along Thu Bon River to Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life and make sure your camera is in your hand. Up on arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb and vegetable garden before learning about some Hoi An and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours, each dish is first demonstrated by the Chief before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson we enjoy our products then.

Day 11 : Hoi An – Hue City Tour & Boat Trip (B, L)

We leave Hue for Hoi An. Then enjoy our city tour by motor bike Citadel and monasterery tour as well as boat trip in Hue.
100 architectural works to be extremely reflected the life of Emperors and Mandarins under Nguyen’s reign. Situated in the middle of hills on the Southern Bank of Perfume River are very beautiful tombs of Nguyen Kings.
Our tour starts at 08:00 in the morning at the lobby of the hotel. We will be met and transferred to the Wharf where we will cruise along the Perfume River to visit:
– Thien Mu Pagoda (The Heavenly Lady pagoda), from here we will have a good view of Perfume River and surroundings.
– Tu Duc King’s tomb, which is one of the most beautiful works of Royal Architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty. The tomb lies in a boundless pine forest.
Then we transfer back to the city for our delicious lunch at a fine local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City; Tinh Gia Vien Garden house and Dong Ba market. Tour ends at around 06:00PM at hotel. Overnight in Hue.

Day 13 : Arrival Hanoi – Hanoi City Tour (B, L)

Upon train arrive in Hanoi Railway Station, you are met and transferred to the fine restaurant for our breakfast and enjoy our city tour in Hanoi for visiting Ho Chi Minh Complex, where we will spend a couple of hour to visit: Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh museum and one pillar pagoda. Keep going to see the Temple of Literature: Originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam’s first university dating back to 1070. The temple highlights the importance that Vietnamese society placed then and now on education. Then we visit Hoa Lo Prison.
Lunch will be at a fine local restaurant in Hanoi.
In the afternoon, we will visit one of the most interesting museums in Vietnam; Museum of Ethnology, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority peoples. Following by that we will wander around the city by car to see the real life of Hanoian as well as the difference parts the city.
After that we will take one-hour cyclo tour around the Old Quarter, known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Originally, each of the 36 streets names’ was related to the products being sold there.
Before we go back to hotel, we will have chance enjoy the unique Water Puppet show. Hear the Vietnamese traditional instruments and singing from the live musicians who play throughout the show. The trip will be finished after the show at the hotel.

Day 14 : Hanoi – Halong Bay on Cruise (B, L, D)
Halong Bay Overview
we will be met at the lobby of hotel and transferred to Halong Bay. It takes us 3,5 hours on the way and we will have a short break at Sao Do town in Hai Duong city, where you can relax, take some teas, walk around or go to the toilet. After 15 minutes or more we will keep on driving to Halong Bay. Arriving at Hong Gai Wharf at around midday, we move to the Bhaya junk. Enjoying welcome cocktail before we check in en-suite cabin. Our trip starts after that, it’s time to enjoy the magnificent scenery of Halong Bay.
At 12:30 a traditional Vietnamese buffet lunch is served. Enjoy our lunch and relax until we catch Surprise Cave. Our tender will transfer you to the cave and you will have one hour to explore one of the most beautiful and biggest caves on the Bay. Back to the junk our time is visiting fishing village. You can enjoy swimming or kayaking at Hang Doi (Bat cave) or enjoy sunbathing onboard with cool drinks; or relax over on board beauty spa services and massage.
In the evening, a luxury Vietnamese dinner buffet and light entertainment will be served at the dinning bar. Getting up early this morning to practice Tai Chi on Sun Deck, early birds enjoy the sunrise. We can do more morning exercise by swimming on the Bay or relax or come to dining bar for International breakfast buffet at around 07:00. The Cruise will continue on taking us around the Bay this morning. The last route on the Bay will be Bai Tu Long Bay and our cruise will stop at the Hong Gai Wharf at around 10:30AM. We will transfer to our awaiting vehicle and drive back to Hanoi. Trip concludes in Hanoi.

Day 16 : Hanoi – Bike Tour to Ninh Binh & Tam Coc - Hanoi (B,L)

Vietnam is a country filled with captivating natural beauty and tranquil village life and what better way to explore the wonderful scenery than on two-wheels. Although motorbikes and cars are increasingly popular in the big cities, bicycles still rule the roads in the rural areas, so join the locals as you saddle up for this fantastic journey! This cycling adventure starts south of Hanoi in Hoa Lu and takes you to ‘Halong- Bay-on-Land’ Tam Coc. En-route, you will cover more than 45kms as you visit the limestone karts region of Northern Vietnam.
Depart your hotel this morning at 0800 for the 2-hour drive through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam’s first capital, Hoa Lu. Ready the bikes and start the trail route cycling to the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel (most of which has since been destroyed) once covered an area of three square kilometers.
Continue cycling for 1-hour to Tam Coc through stunning limestone karst valleys surrounded by picturesque fields and villages, along the way stop where you wish to take photographs. On arrival in Tam Coc have a Vietnamese lunch. After your meal board your private sampan for a leisurely 2.5-hour cruise. As the boat gently slices through the water, notice the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields giving rise to Hoa Lu’s other name, ‘Halong on Land’. Should you feel adventurous climb up to Bich Dong Pagoda on nearby Ngu Nhac Mountain, dating to 1428 and comprising three structures: Ha, Trung, and Thuong Pagodas, in ascending order. Following its back by sampan to Tam Coc town before returning to Hanoi by vehicle where you arrive in the late afternoon.
