Seeing the Brilliant Yellow of Wild Sunflowers in Vietnam

Being only a wild flower, but wild sunflower is no less attractive than plum, peach, buckwheat or white mustard flower… Following are some places where you can adore the beauty of wild sunflowers throughout Vietnam.

Moc Chau
Moc Chau, a district of Son La province, attracts tourists all over the country with the all year-round fruit and flower seasons. During the period of late fall and early winter annually, the plateau prepares for a new season of yellow wild sunflowers.

Wild sunflowers in Moc Chau bloom later than it does in the Central Highlands. By the end of November and beginning of December when the weather gets cold, fog is thick, the wild sunflowers truly blooms, the yellow color covers this whole northern highland.

Places where you can take beautiful pictures of wild sunflowers in Moc Chau include Highway 6, the pathway around the town of Moc Chau, the entrance to Tan Lap tea hill, Thong Cuong, Ba Phach villages.
In addition to Moc Chau, Son La, you can also come to other provinces in the north to admire wild sunflowers as Lang Son (on Sai Ho Pass) or Dien Bien (Muong Phang route)…

Ba Vi
As a famous tourist destination and is just less than 60 km from Hanoi, Ba Vi has a rich flora system, fresh air and is suitable for weekend picnics. These days, backpackers are in an eager bustle going to Ba Vi and flock to see the wild sunflowers.

The best and the most beautiful places to see and take pictures are the hill of wild sunflowers in Ba Vi National Park. To come here, you must go through the pool (Plot 400), continue going towards the historical monument and entrenched fortification 600.

After passing a guardroom, you should ask the guards for permission to visit the protected hill 700 area. After that, you go on about 1 km till the intersection, turn left to reach the hill and capture wild sunflowers. Additionally, on the same route to Ba Vi peak or to the resort, you’ll encounter the large clusters of wild sunflowers which are starting to bloom.

Lam Dong
In the Central Highland, the wild sunflowers bloom is also the time when the rainy season ends. Currently, in Dalat, wild sunflowers has bloomed relatively much in Tuyen Lam Lake area, the other places will be covered by the yellow of wild sunflowers in a couple of weeks.

Bao Loc: wild sunflowers has begun blooming, flocking on the way to Dambri waterfall. You should pay attention to the small dirt roads on two sides and go deep into the road, will encounter many beautiful flowers blooming. You can also visit Tam Chau tea hill, Tam Hop waterfall in the forest of Dang Dung temple.
Phu Hiep Pass, Tam Bo quarry, near the army barrack and Dai Ninh bridge in Gia Ninh Commune, Duc Trong district.
Lien Khuong airport and the start of the highway: wild sunflowers bloomed pretty much, and will be brilliant in just a week.
Tu Tra Commune, Don Duong district: the area around the Dalat Milk company and O’star. At this point you, take the time to ride on the dirt roads to find more areas having wild sunflowers.

Wild sunflowers in D’ran

D’ran Pass: wild sunflowers are very much, especially under D’ran Pass, right after Hung Vuong school, mostly in the roads from D’ran to Chau Son pine hill. The road to the quarry is also very beautiful.
